In September 2007, owners Scott Overby and Theresa Overby opened Doe’s Eat Place on Government Street in Mid City Baton Rouge. Staying true to the spirit of the Original Doe’s in Greenville, Mississippi, guests enjoy outstanding steaks and hot tamales in a warm, casual setting.

Our beef is wet-aged at least 21 days to ensure tender optimal flavor. We embrace the bounty of seafood from the Gulf, serving only Louisiana shrimp, oysters and catfish.

Our full bar offers beer, wine and liquor with classic and craft cocktails and a selection of Louisiana beers.

We love hosting events and get-togethers. Our front porch accommodates private parties of up to 16 and our bar can be reserved for private parties of up to 45 people.
